POWER GENERATION
SYSTEM (NORIA) FROM DRAFT ANIMALS FORM WATER PURIFICATION. (3ER. WORLD)
The proposal is based on using one of
the resources that is available in 3rd world areas, draft animals.
Being societies whose subsistence economy is based on agriculture and cattle,
it is the ideal means of achieving the driving force used in the electricity
generating system (India,
Pakistan, Africa are areas of the world with high use of draft animals).
This proposal has a great advantage,
while it is a renewable energy source, it permits the control of the desired
generation time since the animals can be controlled.
The use of draft animals guarantees
generation, unlike other renewable proposals that require solar radiation or
wind, circumstances that are not controlled by man.
A
4-ox waterwheel can generate average powers of over 1.2 Kw/h. These oxen can
produce generations of this magnitude for 3 or 4 hours running. With a team of
8 oxen, generation periods of 12 hours can be achieved, making it possible to
produce sufficient electricity to purify water for groups of 4,000 to 6,000
people a day (4 litres/pers./day).
The features of the waterwheel and its
hydraulic components are designed for long life (over 20 years) and low
maintenance.
It has also been designed in order to control generation by means of
hydraulic accumulation systems that provide steady and alternate generation at
220V 50Hz, with no need to accumulate in batteries.
The
price of a waterwheel with this features, serial manufactured, would be between
3000 and 6000 euros depending on production volume.
